Using Pinterest for Inspiration

When asked where she got the idea to bake me Funfetti cookie sandwiches for Valentines day, my girlfriend’s response was simple: Pinterest.

Pinterest, a pinboard-styled photo sharing site, enables users to “pin” images found around the internet into personalized collections. Pins also contain click-through links to the original source, providing users a link to the detail surrounding the image.  The site has quickly worked its way up the ranks of social sites, boasting 10.4 million users, with 2 million using the site daily.  While the stereotype of Pinterest may deter most men from participating (97% of the user-base are female), they too can benefit from the creations inspired by pins.

What kind of things could Pinterest inspire?  Check out some of these pins I ran across while writing this post:

So guys, while you may not find interest in pinning yourself, encouraging your partner to partake may yield creative (if not delicious) surprises!
